The Cures Act has an important section that impacts all agencies providing attendant care, homemaker services, and/or home health aides.

By January 1, 2020, all agencies must have Electronic Visit Verification (E.V.V.) of their services. This means that surveyors will require you to show proof of the LOCATION of service being performed, as well as the TIME, DATE, TYPE of service, PATIENT receiving the service, and CAREGIVER PROVIDING the service. In the absence of an easy-to-use home healthcare mobile app, your agency could be in trouble.

The easiest method of ensuring your agency and caregivers are compliant is to use GPS and the GeoH app. Without GPS, your other options are to use a landline and pay telephony fees or to buy hardware for biometric/fingerprint scanning. Both of those options have limitations.

Take the opportunity of becoming compliant to also make your administration life easier with GeoH.
